Project Requirements

Transmitter:
This needs to be the complete installation of a video broadcast transmitter to the Antenna hookup. The channel that we are moving to is channel 13. We need it to be compliant with both ATSC 1.0 standards as well as ATSC 3.0 standards.

Example of options we are considering is a VHF Transmitter outputting 12800 W before mask filter.

Bid should include quotes for all materials, labor, and transportation for installation.

Tower:
This is the installation and removal of components on a 200ft tower. It will also include a structural analysis. Components to to be removed will be an 8" transmission line running the entire height of the tower. Old antennas as well as the old lighting system for the tower. The old antennas consist of a Channel 15 stick antenna on the top as well as Channel 3 panel antennas that are side mounted. Insatllation of new antenna using existing 3 1/8" transmission line and a new lighting system. The lighting system needs to meet FAA requirements so that it doesn't have to meet paint color requirements.

Bid should include quotes for all materials, labor, and transportation for installtion of new antenna system, new lighing systems, and the removal of old systems. It should also include the cost of a structual analysis.

Microwave:
We need the installation of a new 13 GHz Microwave system. We currently have aged equipment in the 13 GHz Range. We have been looking at equipment that is duplex acting as both the transmitter and the receiver as well as allowing us to deliver network connection between the two location. Bid should include quotes for the equipment, installation materials, as well as the installation of the equipment.

EAS Encoder:
We are looking for a modern EAS encoder similar to the SAGE or DASDEC systems that are IPAWS compatible. This does not include installation this is the unit, any supporting materials for installation, and rough delivery costs only.

Bids should be submitted in the form of a quote to grant_bids@blueridgepbs.org. You should also include which project you are bidding on or if you are bidding on multiple parts of the project.
