A full day of non-violent, commercial-free, educational children's television programming is broadcast by PBS stations free of charge to every American household, to ensure that all children can begin school ready to learn:

Blue Ridge PBS also provides online and outreach services to parents, teachers, childcare providers and other early childhood professionals. These outreach services include workshops tailored to meet specific needs of your community. Workshop topics include "View, Do and Read: targeting multiple learning styles," "Kindergarten Readiness," "Emotion Coaching for Well-Being," and "Welcome to the Web for Children," "Resources for Children Who are Struggling to Learn." We also direct grants for books to children through their families and child care centers.
